Job summary

Onward Education is partnering with a district in Plymouth County, Massachusetts to hire a Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. This elementary (K–5) role centers on resource room and targeted intervention, providing specialized instruction in reading, math and executive skills while integrating with the general education day.

The position is on-site, involves 35 hours per week, with September 28, 2026 start and a pay rate of $54-$57 per hour, plus benefits and collaboration

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience supporting elementary (K–5) learners in special education (resource/inclusion).
• Understanding of push-in/pull-out service models and evidence-based interventions.
• Strong collaboration with Gen Ed and multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional, reliable and student-centered approach in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction aligned to IEP goals in a resource room and/or small-group setting.
• Deliver push-in support within General Education classrooms to increase access and inclusion.
• Implement targeted interventions (reading, math, executive functioning, social/behavioral skills as needed).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school teams to support student progress.
• Maintain compliant IEP documentation, service logs, progress monitoring, and required reporting.
• Communicate effectively with families and school stakeholders to support student success.
