Qualifications

• CT Blessed certification notated as preferred (connecticut credentials)
• Experience delivering instruction to elementary students with special needs
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and adaptability in school settings
• Familiarity with inclusive education practices and differentiated instruction strategies

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to each student’s needs
• Create engaging classrooms that promote growth and independence
• Lead IEP meetings, develop goals, and track progress per state/district guidelines
• Collaborate with general ed teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and support staff
• Manage routines, behavioral supports, and positive reinforcement systems
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with SPED requirements
