Job summary
ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, a ChanceLight company, seeks a Special Education Teacher to join our Alternative Education team serving elementary students with IEPs. You will design personalized lessons, provide targeted instruction, and collaborate with families and staff to foster student growth in a learning center or classroom.
IL PEL and LBS1 credentials are preferred, crisis management training is required, and the starting salary is $60,000–$80,000 per year based on
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, special education or related field.
- IL professional educator (PEL) credential or in process.
- IL learning behavior specialist (LBS1) credential or in process.
- Experience with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction; preferably in alternate/special education.
Responsibilities
- Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
- Deliver targeted instruction with differentiated learning.
- Develop and implement IEP goals and interventions.
- Track student progress and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate with parents, staff and administrators to support student growth.
