Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas Teacher certificate in Special Education/content certificate for certain assignments or eligible for employment through an Alternative Certification Program (ACP).
• Eligible ACP candidates must also meet ACP requirements and pass TExES examination(s) required for this position.
• Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned

• Provide special education students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
• Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials according to ability levels.
