Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Knowledge of federal laws protecting educational services for students with disabilities
• Excellent oral and written communications and human relations skills
• Ability to plan and implement lessons tailored to division and school objectives
• Ability to effectively use instructional strategies for students with disabilities

Responsibilities

• Provides direct instructional services to students with disabilities based on their IEP.
• Assesses individual students to inform and implement IEPs.
• Develops and adapts instructional materials to meet needs within the curriculum.
• Maintains records documenting progress and instruction.
• Collaborates with general educators and specialists to ensure continuity of services.
• Manages student behavior and maintains a conducive learning environment.
• Participates in IEP Team processes and communicates with parents.
