Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education from an accredited college or university.
• Meets Maryland certification requirements for Standard Professional Certification I (SPC I) in special education.
• Two years of teaching experience at the appropriate level (elementary or secondary).
• Content-area certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and instructional support to students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support student learning.
• Monitor and evaluate outcomes for students with disabilities.
• Assist in development of Individualized Education Programs (IEP).
