Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and Texas SPED certification.
• Knowledge of ARD Committee process and IEP goal setting.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations and collaborate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD for each student.
• Implement instructional or therapeutic programs and document preparation.
• Plan lessons and materials aligned to student needs and learning styles.
• Modify curricula in regular classes to assist special education students.
• Participate in ARD meetings regularly.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan instruction.
• Present material according to IEP guidelines.
• Use varied instructional techniques and media to meet student needs.
