Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Special Education and/or School Administration is required.
• Certification in at least one area of special education or related area.
• Five years of classroom teaching in special education preferred; experience in evaluation and programming.

Responsibilities

• Provide a quality instructional program by managing the operation of the school program, personnel, and facilities for the benefit of the students.
• Promote, recruit, and manage all aspects of the special education program.
• Lead curriculum development and the selection of materials.
• Communicate standards of expected performance to students, teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, and the community.
• Participate in professional growth activities and promote a positive school climate.
