Warrensburg R-VI School District seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide daily instruction for students with special needs at Morris L. Collins Early Childhood Center.
The role emphasizes developing Individual Education Plans, employing diverse instructional strategies, and aligning with the district curriculum. Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree and Missouri teaching certificate in Special Education; prior classroom or SPED experience is preferred.

To Whom Responsible: Building Administrator
Director of Special Programs
For Whom/What Responsible: The daily instruction of special services students.
Qualifications: Degree - minimum of Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Certificate - Missouri teaching certificate in the area of Special Education.
Experience: Prefer experience in classroom teaching as well as special education experience.
Primary Responsibilities: To provide a quality instructional program for special education students; To complete teaching duties necessary to the district's educational program.
A standard teaching contract is for 178 days; extended or part time contracts are prorated from 178 days. Compensation is according to the teacher salary schedule as established annually by the Board of Education. All other employee benefits are according to the total FTE of employment for the individual.
Performance of this position will be evaluated according to board policies and the Warrensburg R-VI School District adopted model of Performance Based Teacher Evaluation.
