Job summary

Indian Prairie School District 204 is seeking an instructional assistant to support students in achieving IEP objectives. You will work with individuals or groups, implementing plans set by licensed staff and therapists, and assist with daily living skills as needed.

Qualifications include a PARA, Substitute, or Professional Educator License, with experience in special education preferred. Light responsibilities include travel between school sites and assisting with non-instructional activities.

Qualifications

Valid Educator License with Stipulations (PARA) or Substitute License or Professional Educator License.
Experience with special education students preferred.
Ability to work with students in various settings and adapt to needs.

Responsibilities

Assist students with activities to maximize participation and achievement of IEP objectives.
Implement instructional plans as determined by licensed teachers and therapists.
Administer curriculum-based tests/quizzes and track progress toward goals.
Provide care and support for daily living skills as directed.
Maintain safety, behavior, and order in school environments and during activities.
