Job summary

Gallup-McKinley County Schools is seeking a Special Educational Assistant Personal Care Assistant Elementary at Stagecoach Elementary School. This role supports students with IEP goals and assists in delivering instructional activities under supervision.

Responsibilities include implementing lesson plans, maintaining confidential records, and assisting with medical needs and behavior management as needed. On-site position with 7.5 hours daily and a 194-day contract.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Level I Educational Assistant License or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license.
• First Aid certificate or the ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering the educational plan and meeting IEP goals for assigned student(s).
• Assist in implementing daily activity lessons and curriculum as developed in the IEP by a specialist or professional.
• Maintain files and records, ensure confidentiality of all records and files.
• Assist students individually or in groups to present or reinforce learning concepts.
• Operate and care for classroom equipment and assistive technology.
