The role provides technical and instructional support to assigned specialists to implement IEP goals, assist with lesson delivery, manage records, supervise students, and assist with medical needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Level III Educational Assistant license from the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED).
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid driver's license and First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering the educational plan and meeting IEP goals for assigned students.
• Assist teacher with lesson plans, grading assignments and record keeping.
• Maintain confidential student records and attach supporting documents.
• Assist students individually or in groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Operate classroom equipment and prepare instructional materials; handle office machines as needed.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, lunch, and field trips.
• Assist with special medical needs of students and support behavior management.
