Job summary

Spring Independent School District Reynolds ES is seeking a Special Education Aide for the 2026-2027 school year in Houston, Texas. The role supports students with special needs under the supervision of the campus principal, with a non-exempt wage and entry-level pay range.

Starting immediately, the position requires qualification in education and experience; the appointee will assist in instructional materials, adapt instruction, and help maintain records while promoting a safe learning

Qualifications

• High School Diploma from an accredited institution.
• 48 hours of college coursework from an accredited college or university.
• Educational Aide II Certificate (or be willing to obtain).
• Pass Spring Independent School District's NCLB test in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
• Preferred: 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparation of instructional materials and classroom.
• Assist teacher in adapting classroom instruction to support and/or reinforce student learning.
• Assist teacher in preparing/maintaining records/reports required by laws/regulations.
• Assist teacher in maintaining order and discipline in the classroom.
• Assist in individual and small group instruction.
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
