Qualifications

• Two years teaching experience in a diverse public school setting preferred, but not required.
• Bilingual candidates preferred, but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Rhode Island teacher certification required by date of hire; RI offers reciprocity with many states.
• Certification in relevant field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Science of Reading/Structured Literacy through a RI/ RID E approved program.
• CPI certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and project-based instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Co-teach, manage behavior, and implement intervention techniques as part of the Learning Team.
• Use FBA/ BIP processes and write/maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Participate in departmental meetings, family engagement activities, and whole-school professional development.
