Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a contract position in a Connecticut elementary setting, serving grades 3–5 in self-contained ABA and FLEX classrooms. Qualifications

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Connecticut.
• Experience supporting elementary-aged students, preferably with diverse and complex needs.
• Familiarity with ABA strategies and self-contained classroom models is highly valued.
• Ability to develop and modify IEPs in collaboration with related service staff and families.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to cultivating a positive classroom culture.
• Adaptable, team-oriented, and proactive in supporting student goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals and state standards.
• Provide behavioral and academic interventions in both ABA and FLEX self-contained rooms.
• Track student progress through observation, data collection, and regular assessments.
• Partner with paraprofessionals, therapists, administration, and families to support student success.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.
• Participate actively in meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning.
