Job summary

School District 27J is seeking an Elementary Special Education Paraprofessional for Intensive Support at Brantner Elementary School. The role provides direct academic and behavioral support, data collection, and collaboration with teachers to implement IEPs and behavior plans.

Work schedule: 8.5 hours/day, Tue–Fri, 9 months, paid over 12 months; starting pay $21.66/hour with benefits eligibility. CPR/First Aid readiness preferred; background checks required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret Behavior Intervention Plans and IEPs.
• Ability to collect data, write routine reports and simple correspondences.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred at time of hire or within 2 months.
• Must pass Colorado and FBI background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and support for students with disabilities in classrooms.
• Modify materials and classroom environment under supervision of teachers.
• Identify peer relationships and natural supports for students.
• Monitor safety in lunchroom, playground, and other areas as needed.
• Document observations, progress, and maintain required records.
