The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, NC Professional Educator's License in Exceptional Children, and may have First Aid/CPR and CPI certifications.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Hold or be eligible for a NC Professional Educator’s License in Exceptional Children’s teaching area (not including licenses in Academically or Intellectually Gifted).

Mansioni

• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities; implements the IEP; uses diagnostic information to update IEPs as needed.
• Implements instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools for specially designed instruction.
• Assists students in completing curriculum tasks and IEP goals.
• Employs a variety of teaching methods, strategies, accommodations, and modifications to meet student needs.
• Monitors student behavior, maintains classroom discipline, and teaches appropriate behavioral strategies.
• Evaluates student work and progress; coordinates progress report grades and report cards.
• Attends IEP meetings and collaborates with teams.
• Stays current on trends and best practices for instruction through professional development.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
