Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a School Social Worker to deliver counseling, social-emotional support, and behavioral interventions to elementary students in grades 3–5, addressing a range of behavioral, emotional, social, and mental health needs.

The role collaborates with teachers, special education teams, families, and external providers to coordinate individualized student support, maintain thorough documentation, and communicate student progress and support strategies to the team.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or related qualifying field.
• Valid Pennsylvania PDE Certification in School Social Work, School Counseling, or as a School-Based Licensed Professional Counselor.
• Experience with elementary students in grades 3–5, especially with behavioral, emotional, social, and/or mental health needs; experience in a structured intervention program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver counseling, social-emotional support, and behavioral interventions to elementary students in grades 3–5 with a range of behavioral, emotional, social, and mental health needs.
• Provide crisis support, behavior intervention, and case management services to promote student well-being and success.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, families, and outside service providers to coordinate individualized student support.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and communicate student needs, progress, and support strategies with relevant team members.
