Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based contract near Chester, VA, supporting K-5 students under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Primary site is Ettrick Elementary with possible itinerant assignments.

The academic year runs Aug 17, 2024 to May 30, 2025, with up to 37.5 hours per week and a streamlined interview process via Zoom or phone. Key responsibilities include direct therapy, participating in IEP meetings, assisting with assessments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication or a related field (required).
• Valid Virginia SLPA license (or eligibility).
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to maintaining accurate records and supporting IEP processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct therapy services to elementary-aged students under SLP supervision.
• Assist with speech/language assessments and documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with staff and families.
• Support administrative tasks as needed within contracted hours.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and district training.
