Job summary

ProCare Therapy seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support elementary students in a school setting near Wilmington, NC. You will work on-site, assisting a virtual SLP, and help students reach communication goals through direct intervention and material preparation.

Ideal candidates are licensed or eligible for NC SLPA certification, with experience in schools or pediatrics, excellent communication, and a collaborative spirit to work with teachers, families, and staff during

Qualifications

• Active SLPA license or NC eligibility to obtain.
• Experience in school or pediatric speech therapy settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with virtual SLP collaboration and technology.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Full-time availability: 35 hours/week during school hours.
• Organized, flexible, and compassionate approach to student care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct speech-language intervention services to elementary students under the guidance of a virtual SLP supervisor.
• Assist in preparing materials and setting up activities that reinforce communication skill development.
• Collect data, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success.
• Adapt activities according to IEPs and diverse learner needs.
• Engage students in both individual and small group settings.
• Ensure a supportive and organized learning environment.
