Job summary

The Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District seeks an Elementary School Adjustment Counselor/Special Educator at Rindge Memorial School to support social-emotional learning and MTSS-B. Candidates should hold elementary education certification and general special education certification or a pathway to eligibility.

Collaborative planning with general and special education staff is essential, with responsibilities including IEP development, data collection, and delivering targeted interventions

Qualifications

• NH DOE K-12 General Special Education certification or ability to obtain eligibility
• Elementary education certification plus general special education certification and/or school counselor/adjustment counselor certification or ability to obtain eligibility
• Background in differentiation practices, teamwork, and collaboration valuable

Responsibilities

• Create accurate student records and quarterly progress reports as required by district/state mandates.
• Collaborate with evaluators, service providers, classroom teachers, parents, administration, and Local Educational Agencies to develop appropriate IEPs.
• Implement MTSS-B supports through classroom, small-group, and individual interventions.
• Maintain safe, developmentally appropriate learning environments and provide de-escalation as needed.
