Job summary

Springfield City Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist at Snyder Park Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. The role focuses on differentiated instruction, data-driven planning, and writing standards-based IEPs as part of a collaborative, diverse team.

The position is a contracted, 183-day role with 7.25-hour days and a starting salary of $44,692, plus education/experience increases and a longevity bonus of $1,600 annually.

Qualifications

• License or ability to obtain an Intervention Specialist license issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
• Ability to lead professional development of restorative practices.
• Willingness to attend/participate in professional development sessions.
• Willingness to serve on teams.
• Ability to relate to students from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm in the role.

Responsibilities

• Differentiate instruction effectively.
• Analyze data to plan instruction aligned to Common Core Standards.
• Manage and instruct whole and small groups.
• Experience writing standards-based IEPs.
• Use research-based pedagogy with knowledge of content standards.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials for individual and small group instruction.
• Engage at-risk students with appropriate instructional strategies reflecting diverse learning styles.
• Recognize needs of individual students and the whole group and provide flexible support.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of educators and administrators to meet district goals.
• Utilize technology to strengthen teaching and learning.
• Participate in professional development aligned with district goals.
