Job summary

Hmong College Prep Academy seeks an Elementary Science Teacher to educate students in grades K-5, developing a flexible classroom environment and a comprehensive instructional program. The role emphasizes reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies to build a solid foundation for continued learning.

The teacher will implement differentiated instruction, use data to tailor practice, and collaborate with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Current MN teaching license in elementary education for grades K-6.
• BA or MA Teaching Licensure and/or related BA or MA Education Degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of teaching experience.
• Strong skills in classroom presentation and management.
• Knowledge of instructional technologies and structured literacy/reading science.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in core curriculum areas using instructional resources and technologies.
• Maintain records and reports via Schoology and/or PowerSchool as prescribed by administration.
• Connect with families via phone calls, emails, conferences and school events.
• Differentiate instructional methods to meet diverse student needs and ensure content mastery.
• Create a respectful, welcoming learning environment that challenges students academically.
• Engage in professional development and collaborate with teacher leaders and directors.
