Job summary

Atlanta Public Schools is seeking a School Communication Liaison for Harper-Archer Elementary. The role focuses on creating visual communications across print, web, and social media under the direction of the Principal.

You will capture school events, develop digital and print materials, and maintain the school website and newsletters. The position requires on-site presence during regular hours and strong collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in instructional technology, marketing, visual communications, multimedia, design, or related field.
• Valid driver's license or private transportation.
• 3 years of experience as a graphic designer or related position.
• Strong communication, writing ability, and editorial judgment.
• Ability to work in-person in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and related software.
• Knowledge of HTML, WordPress and social media platforms.
• Understanding print/web/broadcast design.
• Strong technical support and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Final Cut Pro and motion graphics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design creative elements to capture the culture and spirit of Harper-Archer Elementary.
• Capture major events via photography and/or video.
• Develop and maintain the school's website and social media sites.
• Create print media to inform parents and community members.
• Establish and develop a school-based newsletter for parents and community members.
• Provide progress reports on projects as required.
• Participate in meetings and school functions; be available on-site during business hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned by an administrator.
