Atlanta Public Schools seeks a self-motivated Parent Liaison to foster communication among school, community and home in person or virtually. The role supports Title I Part A initiatives and ensures parental involvement aligns with federal guidelines.

This position reports to the School Principal and is assigned to be physically present at Boyd Elementary School. The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, a clearance certificate, and 2 years of school district or community

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Clearance Certificate required.
• 2 years of school district and/or community experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Establish communication and relationships among school, community and home in-person or virtual.
• Assist parents with understanding Title I Part A, ESEA, reports and responsibilities.
• Secure important parent documents and surveys for Title I compliance.
• Coordinate academic workshops for parents at flexible times.
• Coordinate volunteer program with ongoing recruitment and training.
• Involve all parents in the education of their child.
• Develop and maintain a Parent Resource Center in the school.
