Job summary

Boise Independent School District seeks a dedicated staff member to supervise elementary students, model positive behavior, and support a safe learning environment during the school day.

Responsibilities include monitoring playgrounds, maintaining equipment inventory, assisting in the school office or library during non-playground times, documenting student conflicts, and collaborating with the principal, teachers and parents to support student success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience with school age children preferred.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude toward students and learning.
• Follow written and oral instructions and observe District policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrate integrity and inventiveness in assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and guide elementary students toward appropriate social skills and interactions.
• During non-playground time, assist in the school office or library.
• Provide a safe and secure environment and maintain playground equipment and inventory.
• Document student conflicts and apply problem solving techniques.
• Work with the principal, teachers, counselors and parents; provide back-up assistance to staff.
