Job summary

Washington Elementary School District is seeking a paraprofessional to support teachers in a classroom setting. You will provide materials, assist with small groups, and help prepare activities, while maintaining student engagement and safety.

Starting immediately, the role is full-time and non-exempt. You will communicate with parents, photocopy materials, and help with daily lesson activities and supervision during recess.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or higher and/or 60 college credits.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent recognized by WESD.
• Must obtain AZ IVP fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in classrooms by providing materials and handouts.
• Work with students individually or in groups on activities and projects.
• Monitor playground and cafeteria to ensure student safety.
• Communicate with parents regarding progress and concerns.
• Prepare materials and photocopy resources as needed.
