Job summary

DSC International is seeking an Educational Assistant for the Elementary Section to support teachers and students. The role starts immediately and is a full-time position within our elementary program.

The successful candidate will assist with classroom routines, supervise students during transitions and activities, and help prepare learning materials and decorations while maintaining a positive, respectful environment for learners, staff, and parents.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Graduate or higher.
• Ability to work with students, staff and parents in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Good command of written and spoken English and familiarity with word processing.
• Energetic and easy going, with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Team player; school work experience preferred; fresh graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervising in the morning, recess and after school as assigned.
• Taking students to and from PE, Library, and Health Room.
• Supporting students and the program teacher by attending music and international-language classes.
• Taking bus students to the courtyard at the end of the school day.
• Taking students to ECAs as needed.
• Helping the classroom teacher with routines and classroom management.
• Covering homeroom and morning routines when a teacher is away.
• Attending field trips with the class or within the Elementary section as assigned by the Principal.
• Assisting the teacher and students as needed under instruction.
• Preparing learning materials and classroom decorations.
• Assisting with DSCE events as assigned by the Vice Principal (Elementary) or Principal (Elementary).
• Supporting small group activities, academic intervention, and skill practice as needed under teacher instruction.
