Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Substitute - Program Aide for Gold Rush Elementary. The role focuses on assisting program leaders with elementary children in an unstructured environment, promoting learning and sense of belonging while supporting safety and positive interactions.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent and First Aid & CPR certification. Position is 0-hr schedule with potential for 260 days of instruction per year, open until filled.

• First Aid & CPR Certification - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Implement program activities that provide children with opportunities to learn and develop skills, explore interests, and experience a sense of self-worth and belonging, and contribute to the community.
• Build healthy relationships with children by actively engaging with them, relating to them positively, and responding to their unique needs and interests.
• Ensure the safety of children by providing sufficient and appropriate supervision and guidance of children at all times.
• Utilize positive techniques to support and guide behavior and promote respectful and cooperative interactions among children.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
