Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Open Airways for Schools Certification.
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Experience in providing health services in a school setting is preferred.
• College coursework related to healthcare professions beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assesses ill and injured students, working with the RN to provide appropriate care.
• Maintains accurate logs and codes injuries and illnesses.
• Creates health folders for new students.
• Updates student health records including immunization data.
• Screens for vision, hearing, dental health, scoliosis, pediculosis as required.
• Prepares Nurses' Reports for Special Education/Speech students and reports (Arizona Vision, Hearing, Immunization).
• Enters emergency card information; dispenses medication per laws and district policies.
