Douglas County School District is seeking an Education Assistant I to support teachers and students at Silver Spruce Elementary. The position is part-time (0.63 FTE) with 25 scheduled hours per week and a 176-day school-year framework.

Responsibilities include assisting with instructional materials, supervising students in various settings, and providing basic clerical support. A High School diploma and First Aid/CPR certification (Colorado) are required.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• First Aid & CPR Certification (Colorado) required.

Responsabilidades

• Report observations and incidents related to students to instructional/administrative staff.
• Perform general clerical tasks to support instructional activities.
• Monitor students in classroom, playground, library, lunchroom, or on field trips to maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain instructional materials and records to ensure availability and compliance.
• Assist teachers with classroom assignments and provide support to individual or small groups.
• Administer minor first aid to meet health care needs as required.
• Mediate student conflicts to maintain a safe learning environment.
