Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services in Centreville, MD is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-2 students in the Centreville Elementary School. This full-time, in-person position focuses on evaluating and treating speech, language, articulation, and voice needs within the school setting, collaborating with teachers and families.

ASHA certification and MD state licensure are required, with CCC-SLP preferred.

Qualifications

• Master\'s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• MD State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Educator Certificate (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students\' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based speech and language pathology interventions and strategies to improve students\' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school-based team members to implement strategies supporting classroom participation and social activities.
• Monitor and document progress, adapting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Explain strategies to parents and teachers to carryover skills into the classroom.
