Position Overview

As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges, improve their speech and language skills, and achieve their educational goals. Queen Anne County is looking for an SLP to cover a elementary school position serving students in grades K-2nd from October-December of this year.

Responsibilities

• The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based speech and language pathology interventions and strategies to improve students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.
• Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school-based team to create and implement strategies that support students' participation in the classroom and social activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• MD State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) unless a CF.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of documentation practices is a plus.
