Job summary

Sylvania in Lititz, PA, is seeking an Act 93 Administrator (Elementary Principal) for a full-time, 12-month position. The role focuses on instructional leadership, curriculum oversight, data analysis, and staff supervision to improve student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as instructional leader of an identified learning community and foster a school climate focused on student learning and growth in academics, social, and behavioral areas.
• Lead data analysis, oversee curriculum implementation, and drive school improvement efforts.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate professional and support staff; facilitate curriculum and instruction delivery; participate in LEA roles in MDE, IEP, GIEP, and 504 meetings.
• Maintain a safe learning environment and provide vision and leadership for effective use of time, space, and resources.
• Develop and manage the school budget and contribute to professional development in line with district initiatives.
• Serve as a role model to the school community and promote communication among constituencies.

Additional Information:

This Elementary Principal will serve as the instructional leader of an identified learning community. The principal will be responsible for developing and fostering a school climate and culture that is focused on student learning and growth in academic, social, and behavioral areas. The principal will be responsible for leading learning including overseeing the implementation of curricula and data analysis in an effort to improve school performance. Critical areas include leading data analysis, hiring, supervising and evaluating professional and support staff members, facilitating and overseeing the delivery of curriculum and instruction; acting as LEA in MDE, IEP, GIEP, and 504 meetings; maintaining a safe environment that is conducive to learning; providing vision, leadership and direction for the effective use of time, space and resources; promoting and modeling communication among constituencies; enforcing school board policies and guidelines; developing and managing a school budget. The Elementary Principal will contribute to and deliver professional development in accordance with school and district initiatives. The Elementary Principal will serve as a role model to the school community.
