Job summary

South Bend Community School Corp seeks an experienced Principal to lead a school with a focus on improving student learning and creating a culturally responsive environment. The role oversees curriculum, instruction, professional development, and school systems to support all learners.

The principal will supervise both certified and non-certified staff, guide the assessment system, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to promote student achievement and a positive school climate.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education administration or a related field.
• Administration Certification required.
• IASP membership or willingness is preferred; IB Leadership Workshop experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture a school climate focused on significant learning for all students.
• Set long-range goals and use a systems approach to planning, implementing, and evaluating programs.
• Assess and improve teacher effectiveness; implement PIP plans with fidelity.
• Provide instructional leadership and supervise all school personnel.
• Organize resources and facilities to support student learning; collaborate with diverse groups.
