Job summary

Grand Ledge Public Schools seeks an experienced Principal to serve as the instructional leader and chief administrator. You will foster student achievement, support staff growth, and drive organizational effectiveness while implementing the district's vision for teaching and learning.

• Demonstrated experience leading instructional improvement initiatives using data and collaboration.
• Strong communication with staff, families, and district leadership while ensuring confidentiality.
• Uses multiple data sources to identify needs, monitor progress, and drive school improvement.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to build relationships with staff, students, families, and community.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers school programs aligned with district goals and objectives.
• Provides leadership and direction for ongoing evaluation and improvement of educational programs.
• Promotes a culture of belonging for all students, families, and staff.
• Ensures policies and contracts are implemented and followed.
• Leads professional learning communities and MTSS initiatives.
• Builds leadership capacity through distributive leadership and shared decision-making.
• Organizes building schedule to meet staffing and scheduling needs.
