Responsibilities

Assumes responsibility for the administration of the school in the absence of the principal
Assists in planning and carrying out programs of instruction
Selects and procures instructional materials
Assists the principal with the evaluation of personnel
Aids with assignment of personnel to use experience and skills
Counsels and confers with students, teachers, parents
Participates in school-community interaction
Coordinates testing and curriculum revision
Helps maintain discipline and coordinates extracurricular activities
