Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in large-scale food service preferred.
• Knowledge of food management, nutrition, sanitation and related laws.
• Ability to prepare food in large quantities and adjust recipes.
• Capable of bookkeeping, computer use, and inventory procedures.
• Must stand and walk for long periods; able to lift heavy items.
• Understanding of MSDS; strong interpersonal skills; confidentiality.
• Team player, organized and reliable; communicates well with staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in preparing and serving nutritious meals.
• Follow state/federal guidelines and district procedures.
• Help maintain safety and cleanliness in kitchen and cafeteria.
• Assist with food storage, temperatures and inventory records.
• Operate POS system during service and assist with cash handling.
• Support in ordering supplies and reporting issues to management.
