Payette School District is seeking a responsible, dependable individual to support daily food service operations as a part-time Food Service Cook/Server. The position requires the ability to follow recipes, work in a fast-paced environment, pass a background check, and lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch meals in accordance with district menus and USDA guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, warmers, dishwashers, slicers, etc.).
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, serving lines, and dining areas.
• Wash dishes, trays, utensils, and food preparation equipment.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and temperature procedures.
• Stock and organize food, supplies, and deliveries.
• Accurately portion and serve meals to students and staff.
• Provide courteous and respectful customer service to students and staff.
• Assist with inventory and notify the supervisor of needed supplies.
• Follow all district, state, and federal nutrition program requirements.
• Identify and report safety or maintenance concerns promptly.
• Support special events or alternative meal service needs as assigned.
