Washington County Public Schools seeks a Head Custodian II for Eastern Elementary School to oversee the care of a large elementary campus. The role covers all buildings and grounds, with day shift supervision of other custodians and reporting to the Facilities Operations Manager.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and at least two years of experience in commercial cleaning and supervision, plus basic computer use for ordering supplies and work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in commercial cleaning and building maintenance.
• Minimum two (2) years' experience supervising other employees.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment to perform minor maintenance and operations duties.
• Ability to use computer systems for ordering supplies, entering work orders, and emailing.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical plant of a large elementary school.
• All phases of interior cleaning using hand and machine tools.
• Develop knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Operate emergency lighting, fire protection and security systems.
• Provide custodial services after hours and on non-school days.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Supervise the work of other custodians.
