Job summary

Washington Street Elementary is seeking a Custodian for the 2nd shift to maintain a clean, safe school environment.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:00–10:30 p.m., 40 hours weekly, with daily classroom, restroom and hallway cleaning tasks.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, successful background check, and preferred experience in custodial work; posting notes that positions may be filled via internal bidding.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Background check/fingerprints upon hire.
• Experience with cleaning and custodial preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily classroom cleaning, including emptying trash, sweeping/vacuuming, spot mopping and locking of doors and windows.
• Daily restroom cleaning, including disinfecting fixtures, refilling soap and paper products, and removing graffiti and litter.
• Daily hallway cleaning, including picking up trash, sweeping/vacuuming hallway and entry rugs, and spot mopping hard floors.
