Job summary

Lubbock Independent School District is seeking an Educational Aide (General) to support classroom teachers at Wester Elementary School. This nonexempt position reports to the campus principal and assistant principal under the IS 1 pay grade, with a 10-month contract.

The role involves supervising small groups, conducting one-on-one activities, clerical tasks, preparing instructional materials, and assisting with centers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• TEA paraprofessional certificate preferred.
• Experience working with children is required.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Computer/typing skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supervises small group student activities.
• Conducts one-on-one instructional activities.
• Performs clerical (instructional) activities for the classroom teacher.
• Distributes and collects instructional material.
• Assists in classroom management and supervision.
• Set up and assist with supervision of listening stations and/or centers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
