Job summary

Lubbock Independent School District is seeking an Educational Aide (General) for Harwell Elementary School. The role supports classroom teachers by conducting small-group activities, supervising students, and performing clerical tasks to help maximize student growth.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a TEA paraprofessional certificate, and experience working with children. Candidates should be able to follow directions and work independently while using basic computer/typing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Texas Education Agency paraprofessional educational aide certificate is required.
• Experience working with children is required.
• Ability to follow directions while working independently.
• Computer/typing skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supervises small group student activities
• Conducts one-on-one instructional activities
• Performs clerical (instructional) activities for the classroom teacher
• Distributes and collects instructional material
• Assists in classroom management and supervision
• Set up and assist with supervision of listening stations and/or centers
• Performs other duties as assigned
