Job summary

Lubbock ISD Educational Aide (General) is a nonexempt role supporting classroom teachers. The aide will supervise small groups, conduct one-on-one activities, and handle instructional materials under the campus leadership.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and a TEA paraprofessional certificate, with the ability to work with children and follow directions while learning computer skills.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and TEA paraprofessional certificate.
• Experience working with children.
• Ability to get along with others and follow directions while working independently.
• Computer/typing skills or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supervises small group student activities
• Conducts one-on-one instructional activities
• Performs clerical (instructional) activities for the classroom teacher
• Distributes and collects instructional material
• Assists in classroom management and supervision
• Set up and assist with supervision of listening stations and centers
• Performs other duties as assigned
