Job summary

Putnam City School District is seeking an Elementary Building Site Manager to coordinate custodial operations at the Warr Acres facility, ensuring a safe and clean learning environment.

The role reports to the Regional Manager and supervises 1–4 custodial staff, with responsibilities including opening/closing, scheduling, inventory, safety, and coordination with maintenance and energy management teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience as a Site Manager for custodial services, preferably in an educational environment.
• Ability to safely lift and carry 55 lbs.
• Managerial level communication, both verbal and written skills.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure the facility for a school day, activities or occupancy.
• Schedule assignments.
• Supervise custodial staff (1-4 employees) and participate in general cleaning.
• Implement quality assurance programs to ensure quality standards.
• Receive inventory control supplies and maintain inventories.
• Maintain time records for custodial personnel and certify for payroll.
• Evaluate custodian performance annually.
• Maintain building security.
• Know location and operation of fire extinguishers and maintain fire safety.
• Train custodial employees under supervision.
• Coordinate custodial responsibilities with Maintenance for remodeling work.
• Maintain district-approved labor resource allocation.
• Perform emergency repairs or cleaning as needed.
• Coordinate with Energy Manager on energy management policy.
• Monitor site temperature in consultation with Energy Manager.
