Job summary

Flagstaff Academy in Longmont, CO seeks a school counselor for the 2026-27 school year to support K-5 students’ personal/social, academic, and career success. The role includes crisis intervention, short-term and group counseling, 504-plan coordination, and collaboration with teachers, families, and the mental health team.

The successful candidate will work within a comprehensive counseling program, participate in MTSS, and help interpret and report student data.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado school counselor license is required.
• Ability to interpret and communicate student data.
• Experience with 504 plans and students with disabilities.
• Commitment to ethical and legal standards in a school setting.
• Familiarity with MTSS/RtI processes and school counseling models.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic counseling services to K-5th students.
• Deliver crisis intervention and short-term counseling as needed.
• Coordinate 504 plans and consult with teachers and parents.
• Participate in MTSS process and behavior interventions.
• Assist with academic planning, transitions, and support.
• Collaborate with principal and mental health team; collect and report data.
• Engage in district meetings and family/community outreach.
