Job summary
Salem City School District is seeking a Reading Specialist for Salem High School. This is a 10-month position reporting to the Principal and requires a master's in reading along with a New Jersey teaching certificate in reading specialization and at least five years of public school experience.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in reading specialty required.
- Valid New Jersey certificate as a teacher and reading specialist.
- Minimum five years of public school experience.
- Other qualifications as the Board of Education may deem appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Lead administration of reading screenings and progress monitoring.
- Analyze assessment data with district staff to guide instruction.
- Provide direct reading instruction and intervention to students.
- Coordinate and deliver district-approved reading programs.
- Coach teachers on evidence-based reading practices and data use.
- Organize and lead district professional development on reading.
- Collaborate with literacy supervisors and administrators to improve outcomes.
