Job summary

Denton Independent School District McNair Elementary in Denton, Texas is hiring a Campus Interventionist to support at‑risk students with reading interventions and MTSS documentation. This campus-based role reports to the Campus Principal and Executive Director of Teaching & Learning.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements, and three years of elementary teaching experience. It is a full‑time, 187‑day per year role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Three years of successful teaching experience at a similar grade level.
• Knowledge of TEKS and current instructional practices.
• Ability to instruct students and manage behavior.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement instructional interventions and support at-risk students to meet grade-level goals.
• Maintain MTSS records and document assessment data.
• Provide staff development and instructional coaching as needed.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents, and district curriculum department.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth and stay current with evidence-based practices.
• Follow district policies and participate in meetings and events as assigned.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
