Job summary

Denton Independent School District's Cross Oaks Elementary in Cross Roads, TX is seeking a part-time Interventionist to implement reading interventions for at-risk students and support MTSS processes. The role focuses on accelerating achievement while aligning with TEKS and district expectations.

The position is 50% FTE with 187 duty days and reports to the Campus Principal and Executive Director of Teaching & Learning. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and a Texas teaching certificate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.

Responsibilities

• Implement targeted compensatory, intensive, or accelerated instructional services for at-risk students in reading to reach grade level.
• Serve at-risk students who did not perform satisfactorily on assessments and had not reached expected growth.
• Complete individual assessments per AIP (Acceleration Improvement Plan).
• Maintain records for MTSS/HB1416 at state/district/campus level.
• Disaggregate assessment data and inform instructional decisions.
• Provide staff development and model coaching to improve instruction.
