Job summary

Denton Independent School District is seeking a Dyslexia Therapist to provide multisensory reading instruction aligned with TEA Dyslexia requirements. You will monitor progress, collect data, and assist with referrals for students with dyslexia.

You will train campus staff in effective reading practices, participate in 504/ARD meetings, and support the DMTSS committee while collaborating with teachers and administrators to improve reading outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited university.
• Master's degree preferred; applicants without a master's must obtain one within three years of hire.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or training for assigned subject/level.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with building staff to deliver dyslexia-focused reading instruction.
• Provide staff development and coaching on reading issues related to dyslexia.
• Deliver instructional services to students identified for dyslexia therapy.
• Maintain accurate progress data and documentation per Dyslexia Department.
